We are very pleased to offer an awesome 1997 Rover Mini Cooper MPi finished in the rare colour of metallic Hawaiian blue and contrasted with a white check roof and matching bonnet stripes. This colour really suits the Classic Mini shape and offers a nice alternative to many of the traditional Mini colours of the era. This example has only covered 74k in 28 years and is has clearly been well cherished and loved as it really is as good as it looks and it is an absolute pleasure to drive. It has been in the same family since 2003, showing just four previous owners, two of those were husband and wife. In that time it has always been garaged. The first owner was Rover which can bee seen on the original V5. It is accompanied with a comprehensive service history which includes every MOT certificate, fully stamped service book and a file of receipts, it also has both sets of keys and fobs. In its early life it was styled by Wood & Pickett and has many features from that period including colour coded wheel arches and those very sexy Superlite wheels giving it an awesome look. It also benefits from electric windows and remote central locking which are very useful features.
On the road this Cooper is great fun to drive, The 1275 engine is very smooth and responsive right through the rev band and performance is impressive and the gearbox is precise. This Cooper really does fly and and the Stainless Steel exhaust gives it a subtle burble which makes for a combined addictive package. This is a drivers car and you will be smiling out on the open road. This is also a multi point fuel injected Mini or MPi as they are known, meaning all you need to do is turn the key and go, they also feature a drivers airbag, side impact beams, alarm and immobiliser and taller gearing making long distance cruising a breeze. Late model Minis also have rear seat belts and servo operated disc brakes.
The interior of this Cooper is well presented with the very rare optional extra Cumulus grey leather seats with matching door cards, full length walnut dash with Magnolia dials, alloy door trim and period Radio cassette player. It has a very useful dash illumination kit which lights up all the switches, very useful when night driving.
This Cooper also has a fantastic shell and has body coloured floor pans, the correct vented sills, original boot floor and excellent subframes. The paintwork is very well presented with very minor blemishes, this is a well preserved Cooper as opposed to a fully restored one and it wears its years very well. It is ready to be driven and enjoyed and it certainly gets plenty of attention wherever I have taken it.
We have fully serviced, checked, tuned and driven this Mini and it has a long no advisory MOT and is ready to go and make you smile like it has done me.
