We are very pleased to offer a very low mileage 1997 Rover Mini Cooper MPi. This Cooper is finished in the classic combination of British racing Green with a contrasting white roof and bonnet stripes. This late model Mini has covered just 25k in 27 years with just three previous owners. It is accompanied with a comprehensive history folder. Supplied new by Rowles garage in Chandlers Ford, this Cooper has remained a local car all its life. It has fantastic provenance and the folder includes the original new car sales invoice, stamped service book, service receipts and both sets of keys and fobs with the original factory key ring tag and supplying dealer key ring. It also has both its Dealer registration plates and tax disc holder. It was also treated with “Supaguard” before delivery which is essentially a wax oil treatment. It has done its job very well as this Cooper is wonderfully preserved. If you are after a Cooper in original factory spec then this maybe the one for you.
On the road this Cooper is awesome to drive, it s a proper drivers car. The 1275 engine is quiet and smooth and the gearbox is precise. This is an MPi Mini which stands for Multi point fuel injection, MPi Minis are so easy to use and drive, all you need to do is turn the key and go. Further benefits include side impact beams in the doors, drivers airbag and an alarm and immobiliser. Taller gearing on these cars also mean long distance cruising is a breeze. Performance is very brisk and of course the handling is fantastic. The driving experience is transformed at the touch of as button as this Mini has the very sought after full length electric sunroof, the full wind in the hair experience is on offer which makes this Mini even more fun to drive.
This Cooper has a beautiful interior and is a real testament to its cared for life. It still looks new, smells new and feels new. It has Porcelain green leather seats with matching carpets, an optional extra at the time, unmarked full length Walnut dash with magnolia dials and original Rover cassette player. This model also has rear seat belts.
This Cooper has a very well preserved shell and it appears to have all of its original panels. The Underside is body coloured as are the inner arches. The floor pans are all original as is the boot floor. The engine bay is also completely original and well presented. The paintwork gleams and belies its vintage. I have enjoyed every minute of driving this Mini and I am sure it will make its new owner very happy.
The Cooper is fully checked, serviced and driven. It has a full no advisory MOT and is ready to be enjoyed.
