We are very pleased to offer a stunning ultra low mileage 1996 Rover Mini Equinox Limited Edition, finished in metallic Platinum Silver, an amazing colour that really gleams in the sun and makes this Mini really stand out and is set off with the Moon and Stars Astral theme half leather interior. Equinox Minis were produced in three colours and just 750 were made in total making them very rare these days and to find one in its original factory specification is even rarer. This example has only had two previous, the first lady cherished it until 2022 and the second owner we supplied it too so we have known both owners. Registered new by Sewards in Christchurch which is just done the road. It is accompanied with a detailed service history including all its original handbooks, original V5, fully stamped service book even onto the spare pages, a raft of service receipts, MOT certificates and both sets of keys and fobs. Amazingly it has only covered just over 16k in 28 years and is such presented in amazing original factory spec with all of its original panels. It is incredible to think that Mini’s like this can still be found and although the time warp phrase is often over used it applies perfectly to this very special Mini. It is presented in a ready to show condition but yet totally useable as it certainly is not a trailer queen. It also proudly won a trophy last year for best post 1980s car in show from the Top of the Town Car show in Stroud. A very proud moment in its history.
On the road this Equinox is a real pleasure to drive. In short, it steel feels new, it looks new, smells new and drives like its new. The near silent 1275 fuel injected engine is very willing and smooth and provides great power, the gearbox is also smooth and precise as you would expect from such a low mileage Mini. This is a single point fuel injected Mini so all you need to do is turn the key and go, further features include an alarm and immobiliser, rear seat belts and servo operated disc brakes.
Equinox Minis have one of the nicest limited edition interiors that Rover produced and this one is in fantastic original condition and its unmarked and it even still looks and smells new. It is totally unmarked. The half leather seats have the Moon and Stars logo and its also fitted with its original fully functioning Rover cassette player, original carpets and immaculate roof liner.
The Mini has an amazing shell and is completely untouched. It has its original boot floor with unused factory spare wheel, vented sills, solid floor pans and subframes. It is body coloured underneath to give you an idea of its condition. It has also been clear wax-oiled to protect it form the elements. The paintwork is very well presented, this Equinox is still in its first flush of youth and has been carefully cherished and maintained throughout its life. Its fully serviced has a long no advisory MOT and is ready to start a new Mini adventure. This is a very special Mini that will make its new owner very happy indeed.
