We are very pleased to offer an awesome 1980 Austin Mini Clubman. Finished in the very seventies Pageant blue with 1275 GT coach lines, badges and a brand new set of Revolution wheels with wider profile tyres. This Clubman has an enviable list of extras and upgrades and has been prepared to be a fun fast road Mini way beyond GT spec. It is accompanied with a large service history and its original handbook and fully stamped “Passport to Service” book. Registered new by Wadham Stringer in Portsmouth and still proudly wearing its original supplying dealer sticker in the back window. It has also had just two previous owners in 45 years.
On the road this Mini is fun, if you want to smile then this may be the one for you. It has a 1380cc engine with an excellent spec, briefly: Omega Pistons, uprated camshaft uprated head bolts and studs, vernier timing gear, fully ported cylinder head with 36/31mm valves, electronic ignition, full Maniflow exhaust system, HIF 44 carb, oil cooler and an aluminium radiator. The results are very impressive with smooth power, it is such and easy Mini to drive and with great performance right through the range making this Mini a real A road blaster. It handles beautifully with uprated GAZ shocks and adjustable suspension all round and servo assisted disc brakes means it has plenty of stopping power. Grin factor is guaranteed.
The interior has also been upgraded to a very impressive level with excellent attention to detail. It has a wonderful full black leather interior with matching door cards, full length six clock walnut dash with Magnolia dials with volts, oil pressure and an analogue clock. It has multiple USB ports, cup holders, rear companion bins with 12 volt sockets for passengers, under seat storage boxes, It also has an excellent Alpine head unit with a CD, AUX and USB port. It has 6 speakers powered by an amp in the boot. It also has rear seat belts.
The Mini has a very solid shell with the correct vented sills, body coloured floor pans, inner arches and boot floor which is also fully lined. The paintwork gleams and belies its 45 year vintage. This is an awesome looking Clubman that immediately gets attention wherever I take it. To prepare a Mini to this spec would cost nearly double the price of this excellent machine.
We have fully serviced, checked, driven and tuned this Mini and it has a full no advisory MOT. It is also MOT and tax exempt.
