We are very pleased to offer what is an icon amongst Classic cars and particularly Minis, the highly sought after 1275 GT. Finished in my favourite of all Mini colours, the very period Russet Brown with the all important stripy trim, contrasting Gold GT coach lines with Minilite wheels with wider profile tyres for that purposeful look. This matching numbers example has only had five owners in 45 years and is accompanied with a service history folder and more importantly its original Super Cover Handbook and Passport to Service book. It was registered new by Caffyns of Brighton and still proudly wears its original registration plates.
On the road this GT will not disappoint, the 1275 engine pulls like a train through the gears and offers an exciting fun drive, the gearbox is also super smooth. I have thoroughly enjoyed driving this GT, it is a real drivers machine that loves the twisty stuff. It benefits from brand new brakes discs and callipers and Spax shock absorbers, wider profile tyres means all this makes an excellent combination, the full grin factor GT driving experience is on offer here and the attention you will receive when out and about makes you feel very popular.
This Mini has a very well preserved interior and is totally seventies, stripy velour reclining seats, matching carpets and the original door cards and roof liner. It has the all important three clock binnacle with rev counter and the 120MPH speedo and a period Mountney steering wheel. This is all that is required, simple and driver focussed.
The GT has a very solid shell with body coloured floor pans, inner arches and the whole underside. It has has much of the running gear replaced and the rear subframe still looks new. The paintwork is well presented with some minor blemishes, but this is not a trailer queen its after a lucky new owner that is going to drive and enjoy it as much as I have.
This GT is fully serviced, checked and driven with a full no advisory MOT and is of course MOT and tax exempt.
