We are very pleased to offer a real slice of the seventies with a genuine matching numbers 1973 Morris Mini 850. Finished in the ever popular Harvest gold with a contrasting tan vinyl trim and white wheels. I am a big fan of this era of Mini, they offer the pure Mini driving experience, ten inch wheels, single centre clock and that fantastic steering wheel. They are so easy to drive and enjoy and at the same time are just simply cool. This example has all of its correct original features and has been vey well cared for. It has a service history folder that details lots of recent care including a brake and suspension overhaul. It has its original FE number, body number and commission number, essential ingredients when choosing a now very rare MK3.
On the road this Mini drives very well. The 850cc engine is very healthy mated to a precise gearbox. It is more than happy keeping up with modern traffic and will happily cruise all day, I know as I have been enjoying this Mini for a few weeks. The legendary handling is on offer thanks to the ten inch wheels that have nearly new Falken tyres all round. As mentioned it has had a recent brake and suspension overhaul so handles and stops beautifully. It certainly makes you smile and on top of that it gets so much attention, people just love seeing this Mini, the colour is a firm favourite.
The interior is well presented and in keeping with its age, the original seats have some marks as do the door cards but very presentable. It is a real time warp inside with no frills whatsoever, the way it was intended.
This Mini has a very solid shell and has been regularly maintained, it has the correct vented sills, solid floors and a very good rear subframe. The paintwork, as you can see from the pics is presentable, this is a good looking Mini, not perfect but thats no the point of this MK3, it is ready to be driven and enjoyed and if you are after the pure Mini driving experience then this may be the one for you.
The Mini is fully checked, serviced, driven and tuned and is also MOT and Tax exempt.
