We are very pleased to offer a Classic Mini that my brain keeps telling me that I should keep as unrestored seventies Minis like this are very rare indeed. Its a very charming MK3 1971 Austin Mini 1000 finished in El Paso beige with a contrasting tan interior. It has only covered 57k in 54 years. This Mini offers a real slice of the seventies and the pure Mini driving experience is on offer, every day use ability and bags of Classic charm.
Genuine early MK3 Minis are getting very rare and increasingly sought after and collectable. This one has had an easy 54 years and it has many more years ahead of it. Its a full matching numbers example with all its original features including wing mounted Desmo mirrors and an optional extra boot reversing light. It has its original body number, FE number and original floor tag. It is also accompanied with a large service folder including the original owners handbook, previous V5 documents and many MOT certificates This Mini has not been restored which makes it even more desirable to me, it has simply been maintained and the outcome is a fantastic example with wonderful patina that could be shown anywhere and is ready to be driven and enjoyed. We have known this Mini for nearly a decade and its condition is still the same as it was.
On the road its a gem to drive, the original engine is quiet and holds 75psi and the rod change gearbox is also very precise. It has recently benefitted from a stage one upgrade and a full Maniflow exhaust just adding a little performance on the open road and giving a subtle Cafe racer look. The theme is continued with a very sexy set of ten inch Rose petal Alloys and Yokohama Advan A-032R tyres so it has a purposeful stance whilst still maintaining its original looks. Performance is brisk and the handling is very precise offering an engaging drive.
The interior is in fantastic condition, Brown vinyl seats, matching door cards and carpets, the roof lining is also in super condition. The original centre clock and switch panel are also un-marked and it has the original steering wheel. It does not appear to of ever had a radio!
The Mini has a very solid shell and has remarkably remained original including its original body coloured floor pans and untouched boot floor. It has the correct vented sills and solid subframes. The paintwork is well presented but not perfect, that is not the point of this Mini, it has nicely aged and does have some patina but in my opinion it is well worth preserving as it is as genuine unrestored MK3 Minis are getting hard to find.
The Mini is fully serviced, checked and driven and has a full no advisory MOT. It is also MOT and tax exempt and is ready to be enjoyed.
