We are very pleased to offer a Mini that needs no introduction: the mighty Mk1 Mini Cooper S, finished in the ultimate colour combination of Almond Green with an Old English White roof with matching Porcelain green trim. Registered in 1967 as a 1275 S and now sporting 1071 S power which is perhaps the best of all the Cooper S engines produced and giving its lucky new owner the chance to experience the sheer thrill of driving not only a Mk1 Mini Cooper S but one with that amazing power plant. This is a genuine Cooper S with its original shell with its commission number and body FE number. Owning and driving one of these amazing Minis is a real privilege and this example will not dissapoint, it has been fully worked through and is in fine fettle. It is presented in a ready to use and enjoy condition, good enough for any show but certainly not a trailer queen and ready for the road which is what it was created for.
On the road the experience is addictive. The 1071 engine is very smooth and offers excellent power in any gear, the gearbox is slick and precise and there is no mistaking that twin SU induction roar as you power down the road. It has excellent oil pressure and sharp handling aided by a recent set of Yokohama A-032R tyres. A new full Maniflow exhaust system gives it an excellent yet subtle burble. This S will happily keep up with anything on the twisty roads and is very well behaved around town but most of all it will be making you smile hopefully as much as it does me.
The interior is beautifully presented with Porcelain green high back reclining seats with the original rear seats and matching door cards. It has a quality fitted carpet set and of course the all important 3 binnacle dash with that 120 MPH speedo, simple and functional is all that is required, the looks are finished off with a wonderful Mota-Lita steering wheel. The boot has the correct boot board brackets and board and has the obligatory twin tanks and the engine bay is well detailed.
This Cooper has a very solid shell with the correct fluted sills, excellent subframes and well presented paintwork with the odd very minor blemish that do not detract from this amazing cars appearance, it gets huge amounts of attention wherever I have taken and it will be the envy of your friends. If, like me, you like to drive your Mini then this maybe the S for you.
The Mini is fully serviced, checked and driven and it has a long no advisory MOT so it ready for the open road. it is also MOT and tax exempt.
