We are very pleased to offer a super slice of the Classic Mini World. The legendary Austin Mini Moke. The pure original sixties Mokes have always been highly sought after not only because of there unique driving experience but because they are just so cool. Our matching numbers 1965 Spruce Green example is presented in amazing condition that could sit proudly on any show stand but is also ready to be driven and enjoyed. Designed initially for what BMC hoped would be for Military purposes, a light weight utility vehicle that could be used in many different scenarios, with ground clearance being its issue it was quickly adapted for road use and has since gone on to achieve global fame with many variations and uses including TV fame. Nothing has compared since for simple design and a multitude of uses and having an original one from just four short years of production is a real privilege. Our example has only had four previous owners in 64 years and importantly has its original body. It benefits from a recent thorough refurbishment with many new parts and is now ready to be driven and enjoyed.
On the road is where Mokes come into there own. The Classic Mini driving experience is on offer here but paired down with just a simple single centre clock, steering wheel and four seats. Nothing I have driven compares to these machines they are very addictive as you feel totally connected to the car and road. The original 850 engine is very willing with smooth power and being a light weight vehicle it has more than enough power to zip this Moke along and keep up with modern traffic. The brakes and steering are very positive and five new Dunlop SP 685 Tyres give excellent handling. Drop the roof down and the full convertible experience is on offer. You will have to get used to the huge amounts of attention as everyone loves a Moke!
The interior is very functional and finished to a high standard. It has new seat pads and the advantage of front and rear seat belts. The floors are gleaming as is the original switch gear. It benefits from having two Windscreen wipers which really is a huge bonus. The tilt frame is the original and the covering has been replaced. Very simple to use.
This Moke has a very solid body, as mentioned it is its original one and it is in very solid condition. The Spruce green paint work is near blemish free and it really pops in the sunshine. This is a very good looking example. If you have never owned a Moke then this one may give you the opportunity to see why they are so admired the World over.
The Moke is fully serviced, tuned, checked and driven. It is MOT and tax exempt and will be supplied with a full MOT
