1990 Rover Mini 30 LE. 1000cc. Metallic Cherry Red. Only 2560 miles from new. Amazing.
We are very pleased to an amazing ultra low mileage 1990 Rover Mini 30 LE finished metallic Cherry red with a contrasting black half leather trim. These classy Limited editions were produced to celebrate 30 years of Classic Mini production with only 3000 built in two colours. Our example has covered an incredible 2650 miles in 33 years and is such presented in incredible time warp condition. Registered new by D.C Cook in Rotherham, the original owner also specified a full wax oil and a centre console to be fitted. It was fully serviced by the same main dealer until 1999 when it had only covered 895 miles and remained in his ownership until 2000 and since then it has been sparingly used. Despite its ultra low mileage this 30 has been regularly MOT’d, it is ready to be used and driven as it is not a car that has sat unused for many years. It is accompanied with its original Handbook, service book, 30 brochure, service history folder and MOT certificates. It also has the super rare Corgi commemorative pack that was commissioned by Rover to celebrate the Minis Birthday, it features a Mini 30 model, book and certificate confirming that the pack was one of 2500 produced. I have not seen another one so it is certainly something to be treasured.
The Mini 30 has always been a very popular limited edition as they were very classy. Metallic paint, Minilite wheels, gold badges, leather trim and tinted windows made them stand out from the crowd.
Driving this thirty is an amazing experience. It just feels like driving a new Mini. The 998 engine is super smooth and quiet and the gearbox precise. The performance is brisk and the handling is precise. It also benefits from wider profile Yokohama tyres. Nothing quite drives like a Mini with this kind of mileage and its fantastic that these examples exist to be enjoyed.
The interior looks new and smells new and it is as it was when it rolled of the production line in 1990. Half leather seats with 30 crest, unmarked red carpets and roof liner, 3 clock dash with rev counter and leather steering wheel. The centre console was fitted when it was new and houses an analogue clock and cigar lighter. There is currently an uprated stereo fitted and the original Rover cassette player is available.
This Mini is presented in original condition throughout. The factory paintwork is gleaming and the shell is untouched. It has benefitted from being waxoiled from day one and this has preserved it. It immediately draws a crowd as it just looks so good and new in the flesh. This 30 offers a lucky new owner the chance to own a real piece of Classic Mini history with an incredible low mileage.
