We are very pleased to offer the Holy grail of Rover Mini Coopers. The 1994 Cooper Monte Carlo SE. Just 200 of these super rare Minis were produced, 140 in Flame red and just 60 in black. This genuine UK car has only covered 43k in 28 years with just 4 previous owners and is accompanied with its original stamped service book, signed by Paddy Hopkirk who handed this Mini over in 1994 in the Chequered flag dealership in London. It also has its original Rover hand over sheet, a raft of MOT certs, service file and the original Monte Carlo sales brochure. Rover produced these special Coopers to celebrate Paddy Hopkirk winning the 1964 Monte Carlo rally outright in the mighty 1071 Cooper S. They have unique styling which echoes this period which includes 4 spot lamps, Anthracite Minilite wheels with wider profile tyres and Monte Carlo decals. Owning one of these fantastic limited edition Coopers puts you in a very select club indeed.
On the road this Cooper is excellent to drive. The 1275 fuel injected is super smooth and responsive with fantastic performance and the gearbox has a low mileage taught and precise feel. The Mini is in its original factory specification so it handles and drives as it should. The wider profile tyres add to the handling and servo operated disc brakes means it stops very well indeed. This is a fuel injected Mini which means all you have to do to get out on the open road is simply turn the key and go, offering all the Classic Mini charm with a modern twist.
Monte Carlo Coopers have one of the best interiors Rover produced. Half red leather seats with Monaco trim inserts, full length walnut dash with Magnolia dials and an analogue clock, red leather steering wheel with a matching logo, red carpets and matching red leather gear knob. This Mini also has a Pioneer CD/USB stereo and rear seat belts. The interior is beautifully preserved and virtually unmarked and a testament to this Minis cared for life.
This Cooper has a fantastic shell with its original vented sills, body coloured floor pans and original untouched boot floor. It is also body coloured inside all four wheel arches. The paintwork is gleaming and belies its vintage. This Mini could easily sit on display, and has been displayed before but the real fun is had driving this Cooper.
The Mini has been fully checked, serviced and driven. The paint finish has been coated to protect it and it will be supplied with a full MOT, ready to be driven and enjoyed. This is a very rare opportunity to own a real piece of Mini Cooper history as these cars are rarely offered for sale especially a black one is one of only 60 ever made.
